The SkiLL® Kids Camp

The first-class bike park & technique kids camp in Saalbach Hinterglemm with highly qualified bike park instructors for kids & teens aged 10 to 15 including VIP shuttle service. Younger / older riders on request.

At the SkiLL® Kids Camp, our bike instructors show how kids & teens can ride the bike park & trails in Saalbach independently and safely:

・ 3 days from Sunday to Tuesday or Wednesday to Friday
・ 4 hours of trail & bike park lessons daily in small groups from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

To participate in the SkiLL® Kids Camp you need:

Mountain bike (full suspension bike)
Helmet, protectors & gloves (compulsory)
Backpack (water bottle, rain jacket, medication)

Rental bikes & protectors can be reserved in our Santa Cruz Store. Bikes for children and teenagers are available from approximately 140 cm in height. Please tell us your child’s height so that we can check the right bike size and availability.

Safety in turbulent times. The following services are included in SkiLL® Covid Protect:

SARS-CoV-2
・ Free cancellation up to 1 day prior to arrival/course start due to SARS-CoV-2 in the event of an officially ordered quarantine or border closure on all SkiLL OG services, minus a 50 Euro administration fee.

General cancellation
・ Free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival/course start on all services of SkiLL OG, minus 50 Euro handling fee.
・ Cancellation 6 to 2 days prior to arrival/course start will incur 80% of the total booking costs.
・ Cancellation 1 day prior to arrival/course start and no-show will incur 100% of the total booking costs.

・ Private children’s restaurant only for our Ski & Snowboard School with staggered lunch times.
・ Max. 12 people including the snow sports instructor per group*.
・ Plenty of space & no waiting times at the Wiesenegg practice area – we are the only snow sports school using the area.
・ Spacious & heated waiting area in front of the store for check-in & advice in case of large crowds.
・ Modern ventilation system in the store & children’s restaurant with 100% fresh air supply.
・ Constant disinfection of the entire store & children’s restaurant with modern UVC devices.

FAQ - SKILL® Kids Bike Camp

The SKILL® Kids Camp in Saalbach Hinterglemm, Austria, is a mountain bike camp for children and teenagers aged 10–15. Younger and older riders may join on request. Previous bike park experience matters as well as age.

Your child needs some bike park experience and should be at least slightly advanced. The SKILL® Kids Camp is not suitable for complete beginners. For first steps in the bike park, or focused training for more experienced riders, private MTB coaching in Saalbach (page in German) is another option.

The SKILL® Kids Camp lasts three days and runs during the Whitsun and summer school holidays. Course blocks run from Sunday to Tuesday or from Wednesday to Friday. Check the Kids Camp online booking (in German) for available dates.

A day at the SKILL® Kids Camp runs from 10 am to 3 pm. It includes four hours of trail and bike park coaching in small groups, plus a lunch break. Lunchtime supervision, lunch and drinks are included in the camp.

At the SKILL® Kids Camp, children practise controlled braking, their basic riding position, cornering and appropriate behaviour in the bike park. Training includes exercises for trails, berms and obstacles. Depending on ability, riders may also work on the basics of drops and jumps. The aim is to help them ride the bike park and trails in Saalbach with greater confidence and independence.

The SKILL® Kids Camp requires a full-suspension mountain bike with a suspension fork and rear shock. A helmet, protective pads and gloves are compulsory. Your child also needs a backpack with a water bottle, rain jacket and any personal medication they need.

Choose breathable sports or cycling clothing that allows free movement and leaves room for protective pads. If the size fits, one option is the SKILL™ Tactical Trail Jersey – Cold Forge on skill.shop. This model is sold in adult sizes XS–XL, so check the size guide and your child’s fit before ordering.

Yes. You can reserve rental bikes and protective pads through our bike rental in Saalbach Hinterglemm (page in German). Tell us your child’s height in advance so that we can discuss the right bike size and check availability.

Yes. The SKILL® Kids Camp includes a free shuttle service within Saalbach Hinterglemm. We collect your child from the hotel and take them back after the camp day. Tell us where you are staying when booking so that we can arrange the pick-up.

For accommodation near the bike school, TALHEIMER is a three-star hotel-pension in Saalbach Hinterglemm. It is approximately 150 metres from SKILL® and offers family rooms and suites. Visit talheim.at for current room offers and meal options. Please also give us your accommodation details when booking the camp so that we can arrange the shuttle.
